To deepen industry engagement and raise awareness of USA cheese in Southeast Asia, the U.S. Dairy Export Council partnered with ACA to execute a regional seminar series in the Philippines and Indonesia.
Designed to connect U.S. suppliers with key trade stakeholders, the seminars offered a full-day experience combining data-driven presentations, chef-led culinary showcases, business networking, and targeted communications.
Trade Engagement in Two Markets
- Held back-to-back in Manila and Jakarta, each seminar attracted over 100 attendees from the foodservice, retail, import/distribution, and manufacturing sectors.
- The agenda included keynote presentations on global trends, market insights, and panel discussions with U.S. suppliers - all focused on showcasing the advantages of sourcing cheese from the USA.
Culinary Storytelling Through Localized Menus
- Collaborated with in-market celebrity chefs to curate dishes that married local flavour profiles with U.S. cheese varieties - highlighting the diversity and versatility of the industry's portfolio.
- Hosted a cheese reception to showcase and spotlight cheeses readily available in market.
Trade Networking & Business Building
- Organized dedicated 1-on-1 networking sessions between suppliers and local buyers that allowed for deeper dialogue, relationship-building, and commercial exploration – paving the way for potential deals.
- Preceding each seminar, hosted a Market Briefing and retail tour for attending U.S. suppliers to help them gain firsthand insights on regional consumer behavior, regulatory environments, and category dynamics.
Integrated Communications Strategy
- Designed social media marketing campaigns targeting foodservice professionals, achieving 143K+ reach, 287K impressions, and 2.5K link clicks.
- Hosted journalists per market for a group media interview, receiving over 10 earned media articles total across top-tier and trade publications per market.
